FAMILY OWNED, FAMILY RUN FOR 25 YEARS

Founder Joel Siegel grew up working in a bagel shop in Montreal, a city famous for its bagels — filling, chewy, boiled and baked to perfection every time. Sky-high reuben sandwiches and kosher pickles lined the display fridge and regulars would come in for an authentic bagel experience. When Joel came to Vancouver, there were no real Montreal-style bagels to be found amidst all the fluffy imitations, so in 1990, Joel opened the doors to Siegel’s Bagels. After 20 years of authentic Montreal-style bagel heaven, the business is still in the family and producing what some say are the best bagels in the world, not to mention delicious sandwiches, rugolach, zesty new cream cheese flavours and more! BAKED ALL DAY IN OUR WOOD-FIRED OVEN

Siegel’s Bagels is proud to sell authentic Montreal-style bagels at our deli and bakery in Kitsilano and in the Granville Island Public Market. We bake constantly throughout the day and night, providing you with the freshest bagels ’round’! In the Montreal-style tradition, our bagels are boiled then baked in a classic wood burning oven which gives them a genuine crusty outside and chewy inside that is so satisfying to sink your teeth into! Not only are they authentic and delicious, our bagels are high in energy, low in fat (98.5% fat free!) and they come in a wide variety of flavours, from the traditional sesame to Siegel’s own recipes like rosemary rock salt and ancient grains.

Siegel’s isn’t just about bagels. Choose from a variety of breakfast and lunch items, sandwiches, deli foods and other tasty treats. We also offer catering services. Siegel’s prides itself on maintaining the highest quality traditional deli foods like smoked meat shipped weekly from Montreal and we’re always innovating to bring you amazing new combinations based on old classics. For a West coast twist, try candied salmon on your bagel instead of lox. Yum! Our Chocolate-Walnut Rugolach was listed as one of Vancouver Magazine’s 101 Best Things to Eat and Drink in Vancouver. We always use wholesome, top quality ingredients and prepare everything fresh each day.

For Best Storage Results:

Keep bag well sealed. Do not refrigerate.

Bagels stay fresh for up to 3 days. To maintain oven freshness, toast or warm in the oven. SIEGEL’S BAGELS freeze well. HINT: As it is difficult to slice a frozen bagel, we recommend slicing prior to freezing. Keep in mind, SIEGEL’S BAGELS  have little or no preservatives, therefore to assure freshness follow these steps.
